This week has some intriguing matchups
Fri night Washington @ Stanford...not sure what to think of UDub...I thought earlier in the year that they would be more consistent, more solid team....
Mich St @ Ohio St...can Spartans continue to surprise and take care of OSU team that laid an egg last week?
Oklahoma St @ Iowa St....fighting for bowl game position now, and potentially, though not likely, a spot in XII title game
Va Tech @ Ga Tech....VT is another team I can't figure out...don't think they get it done on the road this week
Alabama @ Miss St....Tide won't get caught looking ahead, but MSU plays good football at least every other game...turnovers could be key to keeping in this one
Of course, the two big ones:
Georgia @ Auburn...War Eagle has firepower that other UGa opponents since Notre Dame haven't had...but I think UGa wins this one...
TCU @ Oklahoma...best defense in XII vs best offense in XII...so the question is really, will TCU score enough points with their not so explosive offense against the weak Sooners pass defense? I say Frogs in a close one
And the next best two games:
Iowa @ Wisconsin....fresh off a big win over the Buckeyes, they won't surprise the Badgers...but can they beat them and reallyl create turmoil in the Big 10?
Notre Dame @ Miami...I think though that this may be the best game of the weekend....looking forward to seeing how the strategy works for each team....can they control the game on offense against the opponent?
And then the game only the parents care about:
Texas hosts Kansas, to theoretically get us back to .500, and then one win away (@ Morgantown or home vs Tech the day after Thanksgiving). Texas needs the bowl game and the extra practices....so hopefully we'll do something on offense the next 3 weeks to reward the defense for the job they've done after getting burned opening weekend so badly
